Recital Ticket Information 2012
IMPORTANT!! - Our ticket ordering process is very specific and it is important all parents read over and understand the process. We are NOT responsible for any errors made by parents in regards to ticket orders. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.
Basic Information
Each family will receive 2 free tickets to each show your child(ren) is performing in. If your child(ren) are in both shows you will receive 2 for each show.
Even if you are only taking your 2 free tickets and not ordering any extras, you MUST still go online at the appropriate time and fill out a ticket order form. If you do not fill out a ticket order form online, you will not receive any tickets. Please do not assume your 2 tickets will just be assigned to you! You must go online and fill out an order form and your tickets will be assigned in the order they are received, just like everyone else.
Additional tickets are $12.00 each, CASH ONLY. (No checks or credit cards)
Seating at Rockwell Hall
Rockwell Hall has raised seating, so all seats offer a full view of the stage. All seats are assigned as a requirement of Rockwell Hall. All patrons must sit in the seat assigned to them on their ticket.
How Will The Seats Be Assigned?
Tickets will be assigned on a first come, first serve basis with ONLINE ORDERING ONLY! Orders will not be accepted any other way. When your order is placed online, you will be assigned the best available seats for your party size at that time.
Recital Tickets for the 1PM performance will go on sale on:
Monday, March 26 at 10AM, on the Dance Time website only.
Recital tickets for the 7PM performance will go on sale on:
Monday, April 2 at 10AM, on the Dance Time website only.
If you will need tickets for both performances, you will need to go online twice and fill out 2 separate online forms.
The reason we are staggering the ordering dates by a week is to allow a fair opportunity to everyone, and to ensure the same family is not guaranteed the closest seats for both performances, simply because they were the first one on the website to order.
Ticket orders are NON-REFUNDABLE once order is placed. Please double check you are ordering the correct amount of tickets to the correct show(s).
Go onto www.dance-time.org. Click on Recital Tickets (there is one page for 1PM and one page for 7PM which will appear when the tickets go on sale). Fill out the form and click submit. You must submit payment within one week to the studio, CASH ONLY. You can also order Souvenir Recital Tshirts, and Program Ads online at the same time. Recital tshirts are cash only also.
Q: Do Dancers Need Tickets?
A: Dancers DO NOT need tickets, to the show(s) they are in. If a dancer is going to sit in the audience at the show they are not in, then they require a ticket like everyone else.
Q: Do Dressing Room Volunteer Moms Need A Ticket?
A: Moms who have signed up to volunteer backstage for the entire performance DO NOT need a ticket to THAT performance. If you are going to occupy a seat for part of the performance, you will need a ticket for that seat. We have sent out forms for those interested in volunteering and backstage volunteers are accepted on an as-needed basis.
Q: Do young children in the audience need a ticket?
A: Children 3 & under who will sit on an adults lap for the entire performance do not need a ticket. If you would like a seat for them, they will need a ticket or there will not be an empty seat for them. Everyone 4 & older MUST have a ticket.
Hint: Every seat = 1 ticket. If someone will need a seat for any part of the performance, they will need a ticket to get in. There is NO standing room, all audience members must be in a seat, and must have a ticket to enter the theater.
Q: What if I need more tickets later? Can my group still sit together?
A: You may place another order at a later date from your first order if there is still ticket availability. However, since seats are assigned at the time of order, it is unlikely the seats from a later order will be near your original order. We can make an effort if there is something close by available, but typically every seat gets filled starting in the front working backwards. It is recommended that you have your full ticket count ready at the time of your order so that your group will all be together.
Q: Will tickets be available for purchase at the door on show day?
A: There may be seats available the day of the show, but it is also possible this year there may not be. We have a larger student base this year so it is possible the event will be sold out before that event. There is no way to know for sure at this time so do your best to order a sufficient number of tickets when you order!
Q: What if I will be away when the tickets go on sale?
A: If you have online access, you can still place your order, even if out of town. Out of fairness to everyone, we will not be able to accept any orders early for any reason.
Q: Do I need to place my order immediately to get good seats?
A: The majority of the orders are received in the first 2 days of being on sale. With that said, Rockwell Hall has raised seating, so all seats have a full view of the stage. The seats in the front are of course the closest, but as you go further back you can actually see the whole stage better yet it is not a very large theater, so you can still see faces and details.
Q: What If I have computer trouble?
A: If you attempt to place order online and have trouble, you can call 563-2446 and speak with Miss Jamie. Then your order will be considered received at the time of your call. Please only call if you have computer trouble and cannot get through on the website. It is much easier to keep organized with everything neatly on the computer.
Q: When Will I Receive My Tickets?
A: Tickets will be MAILED home after May 20 ONLY after all of your tuition, costume, and recital fees for the 2010-2011 dance season have been paid IN FULL. Please make sure to include your full mailing address on the ticket order form!
Payment For Tickets
After placing your ticket order on website, you can also order Souvenir Recital Tshirts and Program Ads/Good Luck Messages. Recital tickets and tshirts are CASH ONLY, and payment must be received to the studio within 1 week.
